- To do a scan turn the iMapper ON by clicking on the power button
- Check the battery status (4 hours of charging provides 2 hours of use or ~60 scans)
- For older versions of iMapper (Racer, Racer 2, Racer 3) verify the SD card
- After iMapper is turned on click once again to start a scan
- The mapper completes a 360° rotation, taking measurements and 10 wide-angle photos, then turns off (indicated by a beep and the light turning off).
- During the scan, stay in the room but avoid standing still in the laser’s path. Ensure the scanner and tripod remain untouched.
- After scanning, check visibility. If parts of the room are missed, reposition and conduct a second scan. Software will automatically merge the scans.
